Kristian Regále Single Serve Packing to Return to Minnesota

Paramus, NJ, 7/12/2010 - Kristian Regále is proud to announce the expansion of its production capabilities set to include packing of its 11.1oz single serve non-alcoholic sparkling juice line at Cold Spring Brewing in Cold Spring, MN.  After being produced only in Spain, the single serve’s newest supplier allows it to return to its birthplace, be closer to its loyal consumer base, reduce its environmental impact, and meet increasing consumer demand.

Bob Gluck, President & CEO of Kristian Regále, Inc, commented: “We are very excited about adding to our supply-chain capabilities as it has allowed us to grow in the extremely competitive single serve beverage business, reduce our carbon footprint while at the same time introducing leading edge product innovations.”

As part of the move, the company has updated the packaging and water source to stay ahead of consumer trends.  The new packaging includes plastic pressure sensitive labels which are more vivid, durable and resistant to ice, affording retailers more merchandising flexibility.  Kristian Regále has switched to a twist-off bottle cap with a tighter, sturdier seal locking in freshness and the brand’s unique “champagne bubbles.”  Finally, the glass bottle has changed shape, reducing the amount of glass to further lower the environmental impact of shipping and production.  Additionally, the Cold Spring water source is world famous, bubbling from deep within the crystalline granite of Stearns County, MN and requires no additional filtration, producing beverages of extraordinary taste and purity.

The US-produced single serve Kristian Regále beverages began shipment in June.

Swedish Midsummer Night Bonfire

Here at Kristian Regále, we trace our roots to a treasured Swedish Recipe.  Our Light, Crisp taste is no accident.  We crafted it that way, our way.  And by "we" I mean the Swedes.  Last weekend we celebrated Midsummer.  Probably my personal favorite time of the year, where we eat fresh berries and dance the night away.

Dancing around our Maypole!  I think I sprained my ankle.

Our traditional Midsummer's Night Bonfire!

Family Vacation Season

Like you, we love to travel.  With Memorial Day just 2 weeks away, we wanted to share some of our favorite travel destinations.  Most of these destinations are under the radar but have been enjoyed by locals for decades.

Hayward, Wisconsin

Historically the top choice of Kristian Regále, just "Up North" from Hudson is Hayward, WI.  Home to the freshwater fishing hall of fame, world lumberjack championships and the American Birkebeiner, the largest cross country ski marathon in North America.  This Northwoods playgroud has a little of everything for the family, both in summer and winter.  Just 2 hours by car from the Twin Cities and within a day's drive from Milwaukee or Chicago.

Longville, Minnesota

North of Brainerd, MN lies most of the 10,000 lakes that make up Minnesota tourism.  Longville, the "turtle racing capital of the world", is located right in between Brainerd to the south, Grand Rapids to the east and Bemidji to the northwest.  All you need is your fishing rod.  You can rent a boat or canoe just about anywhere.  This is what Birch Lake looks like.  They all look like this.  Just 3.5 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Point Pleasant, New Jersey

The Jersey Shore is a no brainer.  The famous boardwalk in Point Pleasant is probably the best location to get the most out of your weekend on the shore.  Bring your beach towel secure your place in the sand and enjoy your day.  Either catch your superdose of vitamin D or get up and walk up and down the boardwalk, playing arcade games, eating a Jersey dog or just checking out "the situation" (bad pun intended).  Less than 2 hr from New York City.

Logan, Utah  (Cache Valley)

Logan is on top of Utah, it is located in the center of a beautiful wildlife area.  The Bear River is the largest tributary of the Great Salt Lake.  The Cache Valley is the area where the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Basin.  In the greater Logan area, there are unlimited opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and the wildlife.  Among them is the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.  90 min north of St Lake City.

Earth Day and Kristian Regále

Today, April 22nd, is Earth Day.

Earth Day and Kristian Regále have a lot in common.  Both can trace their roots back to Wisconsin and both were founded by inspirational people that were driven to share their passions with others.

Gaylord Nelson, "The Man from Clear Lake", was a Senator from Wisconsin.  In 1969, driven by his passion for the environment, Nelson organized the first of a series of meetings to promote environmental awareness.  Interest spread quickly, with little formal promotion.  The following year on April 22nd, 1970, Earth Day began.  Its impact has resulted in a better quality of life across the globe.  It started with one man.

Just 30 miles away in Hudson, Wisconsin, and 18 years later, Kristian Regále was born.   MORE..

Grow Your Own Food - Starting a Garden, Basics

Who doesn't love to eat fresh from the garden vegetables and herbs?  A great childhood memory I have growing up in the Midwest was learning just how special it was to have a garden to grow, and eat, your own food.  Our garden featured tomatoes, green beans, rhubarb, herbs and many other delights.  It is always comforting to eat, food you know is all-natural.  And it is just as comforting knowing our favorite sparkling beverage with the initials K.R. has always been all-natural goodness.

Since Spring is finally here, I wanted to help you get started on your own garden and share a link to our friends and hosts of the excellent gardening website www.thegrowspot.com       Enjoy!

People Snapping Pictures of Their Meal!

We love to get in the kitchen and cook.  Hosting friends, family, whatever the occasion, we love it.  Sometimes the best meal is the one you make by yourself on a whim, no recipe, just whatever you have on hand, in the pantry or left over in the fridge.  There are many times I wished I had wrote down what it was I made, and how I made it.  That regret usually sets in once you finish and realize what you did was pretty good and you wonder if you could do it again.  Anyways.

That's what I tought of when I came across this nifty article in the NYT (reg req-free).  The trend:  Snapping a picture of your meal.  Makes sense right? Seems everyone has a camera and an internet connection, why not share your meal with the world?  Lots of our fans do.  Some of the best pictures we have of our product are from you, we find just browsing the global interwebs.

NYT: First Camera, Then Fork

JAVIER GARCIA, a 28-year-old neuroscientist at the University of California, Irvine, was in the campus pub recently having a grilled cheese sandwich. But before he took a bite, he snapped a digital picture of it, cheese artistically oozing between toasted white bread, just as he has photographed everything he has eaten in the last five years

Nice.  Grilled Cheese, YUM!  Perfection would have been if he washed that down with Kristian Regale Sparkling Pear.  A perfect match with oozing cheese.  Next time Javier.
